Text: Acts 16:16-28
I. Bad Days Can Get Worse
Amos 5:19 An Unrighteous man is one who runs from a lion, only to meet a bear, and then when he gets to his house, he leans on the wall in exhaustion, only to have a snake bite him.
Revelation 20:10 "They will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
II. Bad Days Don’t Last Forever
Psalm 30:5 Weeping may last for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
Romans 8:28 We know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love Him, to those who have been called according to His purpose.
John 16:33 In the world you have tribulation, but take courage, I have overcome the world.
III. Turning a Bad Day Around
Acts 16:25 says, “About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.”
"Prayer + Praise = Deliverance"
1st We Begin with Prayer
Matthew 11:30 My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
2nd We Continue with Prayer
3) We Continue with Praise
Hold on to this truth. Prayer + Praise = Deliverance.
1 Samuel 30: David and his men return to Ziklag to find their city burned and their wives and children carried away captives. From all natural evidence they had lost everything. They sat down and wept then decided to stone David but David encouraged himself in the Lord. David began to worship the Lord.
